As well as 3.0L M60B30 V8 type engine is also available for this model. This has power of 160kw at 5800 and torque of 290Nm maximum at 4500rpm.
This engine has a displacement of 2997cc. 3.0L M60B40 V8 is the extended version of the previous which has more power and torque than the preceding. Above all models come from the BMW E34 car. Another engine of BMW 530 is 3.0L M54B30 I6 which has power of 172kw at 5900rpm and torque of 300Nm at 3500rpm. This was introduced first in 2000 with displacement of 2979. In 2001 this engine was converted as power of 168kw at 5900rpm and torque of 221ft-lbf at 3500rpm. This was remained same as the previous version.
